Seems like I flaked out on this again. Well, a few things have happened since the last post. A few weekends ago we went up to Houghton to see the Michigan Tech ice sculpting contest. That was fun and saw quite a few cool sculptures. The drive back wasn't so cool. The water pump on the Neon did a very bad thing. See here. That's all good and back together now. Cost me about $300 US to fix.

A couple days ago the lockbox on my house was stolen. In case you're not familiar with what this is, it's a coded box that realtors use when your house is being sold. It's locked to something outside of our house and the keys are placed inside and the realtors can get into your house when needed without you being there. Anyway, that lovely race of indians that inhabit Regina stole that box and got the keys out. They got into the house but the alarm seemed to scare them away. The neighbour across the street also called the cops about strangers entering the house. My brother is now there with a buddy of his watching over the place until I get home. Now I get to change all the locks on my house. Joy. I can't wait to get away from that place. Saskatchewan is going to shit and the government seems to be enjoying the ride. Anyway, enough about that....

Lately I've gotten into a lot of blues music. A local bar has blues music every week and we've caught a guy named Catfish there a few times. I've never seen another person play a guitar with all 10 fingers but he does it and does a VERY good job of it. It's very impressive to see him play. He also has an awesome steel guitar which is supposedly 1 of 4 ever built and sounds AWESOME. I had a few blues songs on my computer and had Eric Clapton's album of Robert Johnson covers but that was the extent of my collection. Now I've downloaded quite a few more and got more CDs from a friend of mine. The guitar in the blues is quite a work of art unlike most music you hear on the radios these days which consists of a few chords in a song.

Wedding stuff is cruising along nicely. We've got a florist working on what will work for the dresses Teresa has picked out. We've got a church booked and took some tests that go along with that to see if we're compatible or not. We've got a lot of the accesories bought as well. This weekend we may stop by a jewellry shop and check out the rings and see what we need to spend on those. We've got our paperwork filled out and ready to send in as soon as I'm gone, which will be Monday now. I keep moving the day around but that HAS to be the day so this visa stuff can get rolling. Anyway, next time I update this, I should be back in Canada.

Hey Shane,

That really sucks about your car. Good thing you're a handy one. I would be lighting the thing on fire.
