Been a busy few days here. On Tuesday, Teresa's sister Carrie went into the hospital to have her baby. Her boyfriend doesn't have a driver's license and they live about 45 minutes out of town. That night they asked me if I would take him home to let their dog out and take care of their other animals (4 cats!). So Teresa and I took him home that night and I told them I've got nothing better to do so if he needs any more rides to give me a call. On both Wednesday and Thursday, I had to give him a ride home in the morning and in the evening. Each ride killed probably 1.5-2.5 hours with the visiting he wanted to do. I didn't mind since I told them to call me and it got me out of the house. Wednesday afternoon Carrie had a baby girl named Sophia Louise. They got to take her home on Friday only to have to bring her back in on Saturday because of Jaundice. Their other baby had the same thing and it sounds like it's fairly common. As far as I know, they got to take her home last night or today. Saturday night we looked after their baby while they were at the hospital with her. Yesterday we went out to Teresa's mom and dad's to visit and ended up driving home in a lovely bit of winter weather. I wasn't able to go above ~45 mph (70 km/h) with the snow packed roads and the less than desirable traction that Teresa's car has. It had been awhile since I had a good challenging winter drive so I didn't mind. Today I took our Christmas tree down and took it outside. It lost quite a lot of needles (probably an hour worth of vacuuming to get all the needles picked up in here and in the hallway and I'm still not done.

In other news, I've recently gotten back into taking film pictures with my trusty old Canon AE-1. I found that Snapfish does very reasonable film developing ($5 with shipping and it includes free and unlimited digital storage on their website). I've tried a couple local places and one place has had my film since Dec. 30th and I haven't gotten it back yet and the other place didn't do very good prints. I haven't tried Snapfish yet but I'll be sure to post some results when I do.

I had Jaundice as a baby, I was yellow for a few days. It is very common in babies, and it usually goes away pretty quickly. My mom said I looked like a big easter egg.

However, I find it odd that they sent them home only for them to COME BACK. I didn't leave the hopsital for a few days after I was born because of Jaundice. I didn't go home, then come back, that's just silly.

Saskatoon had a mighty blizzard which we're apparently getting tomorrow. Let's hope we don't.
